Youth Civic Challenge Program
The American Museum of Tort Law piloted a program that empowers youth to rethink, reframe, and reshape society. Youth Civic Challenge is a program that allows students to become active change-makers in their communities. Over four weeks, our team of dedicated young participants engage in a unique curriculum blending historical insights with practical, real-world experience. Under the leadership of our enthusiastic interns from the University of Connecticut, Muhlenberg College, and St. Lawrence University, who brought their own academic backgrounds and community perspectives, the program is a resounding success. Through informative lessons on the foundations of civic action and sessions with expert guest speakers, students gain an understanding of how civic engagement has shaped society and learn how they can contribute to this legacy. By grounding their learning in history and practical skills, the program equips these students with the tools and inspiration to make a difference.
