Juried Essay Contest – $500. Dollar Prize

The American Museum of Tort Law is pleased to announce the first annual juried essay contest, open to all high school students in Connecticut.

This year’s topic is: “How Tort Law and Trial by Jury Protect Us All.”

Second Prize

A signed copy of Unsafe at Any Speed, by Ralph Nader.

FIRST PRIZE

$500.00 Check paid to the author of the best essay.

The Winner of the first prize will receive a check in the amount of $500 dollars, which will be presented at the Museum. The First Prize winner will also have the opportunity to have photos taken with Museum Founder, Ralph Nader, and its Executive Director, Richard L. Newman.

Third Prize

A copy of Lawyers and the American Dream, by Stuart Speiser.

Rules

The contest is open to all high school students in Connecticut.

All entries must be typewritten, double-spaced, and not more than 1,250 words long.

Entries must be received not later than April 1, 2016.

The winner will be announced on May 1, 2016.
